网络安全 Minor

The 网络安全 minor is intended to be suitable for landing entry-level work in the field. It is accessible to students in any major at HSU.

Three courses include topics directly relevant to the industry-recognized CompTIA certifications. Although students aren’t required to sit for the certification exams, if they choose to do so (and pass the exams) they will have a widely accepted certification to accompany their transcript. The courses and certifications are:

  • Computer Networking -> Networking+
  • Intro to 网络安全 -> Security+
  • Penetration Testing -> PenTest+

In the current scheduling of courses a student can start the minor in any fall semester and will need three years to complete it in order to satisfy pre-requisites and limited scheduling.
